(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Colts player facing multiple charges from a weekend incident is no stranger to brushes with the law.
Running Back Kenton Keith was arrested early Sunday morning outside the Cloud 9 nightclub on the west side of Indianapolis. Keith played four seasons with the Saskatchewan Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League.
Reporter Geoff Smith with CJME radio in Regina says Keith was arrested in 2006 for a fight outside a nightclub.
The charges were stayed after Keith was signed by the Colts and left Canada. No word yet on if those charges will impact the Indianapolis case.
Keith is accused of refusing to leave the parking lot after the club closed.
Keith reportedly kept yelling he was a Colts player and would leave when he was ready when officers tried to clear the parking lot.
He is facing charges with disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Keith will have his initial court hearing Wednesday.
