(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Colts have been awarded three compensatory picks in the upcoming NFL Draft according to a published report. All three picks are in the sixth round.
The Indianapolis Star reports that the Colts will get the 35th, 36th and 39th picks of round six, those are the 201st, 202nd and 205th overall.
The Colts get the picks after losing three significant free agents - linebacker Cato June, cornerback Nick Harper and running back Dominic Rhodes - to free agency during the 2007 offseason while not making any significant free agent signings during the same period.
The Colts now have nine picks in the draft, which takes place the weekend of April 26th. They traded away their first-round pick to San Francisco during last year's draft but still have their own picks in the second through seventh rounds.
