(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University introduced Tom Crean as the Hoosiers’ new men’s basketball coach Wednesday morning.
Crean received an eight-year contract worth in excess of $18-million dollars to pick up the pieces in the wake of Kelvin Sampson's departure and under a cloud of potential NCAA sanctions in the wake of infractions committed during Sampson's watch.
The former Marquette coach says restoring the program to its former glory will not be a quick process. Crean says his first priority will be getting to know the four recruits who are expected to enter the program next season.
Two of those players, Devin Ebanks and Terrell Holloway, have clauses in their letters of intent allowing them to go elsewhere in the wake of Sampson's departure.
