(PALM HARBOR, FL) - The Indiana Fever selected North Carolina State forward Khadijah Whittington with the 26th pick in Wednesday’s WNBA Draft.
The Fever had traded away their first-round pick, the twelfth overall, to Connecticut in a trade to obtain Indianapolis native Katie Douglas from the Sun.
Notre Dame guard Charel Allen went to the Sacramento Monarchs with the last pick in the draft, number 43 overall.
The WNBA also announced Wednesday that the fever and the New York Liberty will be the participants in the league's first outdoor basketball game. They will play at Arthur Ashe Stadium on July 19th. Should it rain, the two would play indoors on July 20th.
