Indians Winning Streak Ends

Last updated on Friday, April 11, 2008

(SYRACUSE, NY) - Adam Lind went 4-for-4 with four runs batted in as the Syracuse Chiefs avoided a four-game series sweep with a 6-1 win over the Indianapolis Indians.

The Chiefs scored all six of their runs in the first two innings off Indians starter and loser Ty Taubenheim.

Lind put Syracuse on the board with an RBI single in the first and followed with a three-run home run in the second. Kane Davis would pick up the win, allowing an unearned run on three hits in six innings of work.

Josh Wilson drove home the lone Indians run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth as the Tribe saw its five-game winning streak come to an end.

The Indians have their home opener tonight as they host the Norfolk Tides.
