(SYRACUSE, NY) - John Van Benschoten allowed two hits over six and-a-third innings as the Indianapolis Indians beat the Syracuse Chiefs 5-1.
Andrew McCutcheon gave the Tribe the lead for good when he led off the game with a solo home run, his second round-tripper of the season.
Josh Wilson would also add a solo shot, his first of the year, as the Indians extended their winning streak to three games.
Game two of the four-game series is scheduled for tonight in Syracuse.
