(INDIANAPOLIS) - The University of Indianapolis has a new men’s basketball coach.
Stan Gouard is a former assistant coach for the Greyhounds and also did a stint as an assistant coach at Indiana State.
Gouard was emotional at times as he thanked UIndy for selecting him to come back.
The former USI stand-out says he is fired up and ready to get to work. Gouard replaces Royce Waltman, who served as interim head coach for the 2007-2008 season after Todd Sturgeon resigned last October.
This comes a day after IU announced the hiring of Tom Crean to head up its men's basketball program.
