(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Katie Douglas scored 25 points and Tan White dominated the second overtime period as the Indiana Fever got past the Los Angeles Sparks 82-78 in double overtime.
White scored eleven of Indiana's 13 points in the second overtime, including six points in the final 38 seconds. White also finished with ten rebounds.
Ebony Hoffman finished with ten points and eleven rebounds and her putback basket forced the second overtime.
Lisa Leslie led the Sparks with 19 points with rookie Candace Parker finishing with 16 points and 16 boards. Parker, the number-one pick in the 2008 WNBA draft, also had six blocked shots, five assists and five steals.
The Fever and the Sparks combined to record a league-record 27 blocked shots.
The Fever improve to 3-and-1 while LA suffers its first loss of the season to fall to 2-and-1.
