(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Fever are back home tonight as they welcome the Los Angeles Sparks for the first of three-straight games at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Fever are coming off a 29-point win at Connecticut on Tuesday to move to 2-and-1 on the season.
The Sparks are in the middle of a five-game road trip to open the regular season. They are 2-and-0 with wins at Phoenix and Atlanta.
The Fever swept the Sparks last season, but Los Angeles was without all-star center Lisa Leslie who missed the entire season following the birth of her first child. The Sparks also picked up Tennessee all-american Candace Parker with the first overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft.
Before last season's series sweep, the Fever were 1-and-9 all-time versus Los Angeles.
Indiana is the team missing its team leader this season as Tamika Catchings remains sidelined after tearing an achilles tendon during the playoffs last year. There is no timetable for Catchings' return, but fellow all-star Katie Douglas has picked up some of Catchings' production.
The former Purdue star and Indianapolis native has averaged more than 24 points in her first three games with her hometown team. Douglas ranks third on the team with six rebounds per game and is second behind tan white in assists at three-point-seven per contest.
