(NORFOLK, VA) - The Indianapolis Indians held off a late Norfolk charge to defeat the Tides 9-8.
The Tribe built an 8-2 lead in the sixth inning and held on for their third victory in the four-game series.
Catcher Raul Chavez hit a pair of doubles and drove in three while Neil Walker added a solo homer and two RBI for the Indians.
Oscar Salazar had three hits for Norfolk, including a three-run homer, and drove in four.
The tribe heads for Richmond to open a four-game series with the Braves this evening.
