(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) Alvin Colina’s two-run homer in the top of the fifth inning gave the Louisville Bats a 2-0 win over the Indianapolis Indians Wednesday afternoon at Victory Field.
Colina lined a pitch from tribe starter Jason Davis over the left field wall, scoring Drew Anderson from first base ahead of him with the lone runs in the game.
Justin Mallett and three relievers combined on a five-hit shutout. Mallett pitched into the sixth, allowing three hits to even his record at 1-and-1. Davis took the loss to fall to 2-and-5.
The Indians hit the road for an eight-game road trip beginning Thursday at Scranton / Wilkes-Barre.
