(INDIANAPOLIS) - Danica Patrick says she’s excited about her chances to win Sunday’s Indy 500, but she can’t help thinking about a decision in 2005 she says cost her the race that year.
Patrick finished fourth during her rookie year because she had to save fuel late in the race. Since then, she's been told her car had about two gallons left in the tank.
She says had she known that then she would have gone for the big win. Dan Wheldon passed her up in 2005 with seven laps left in the race.
Patrick starts fifth in tomorrow's race.
