(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Rain washed out day two of time trials for the Indianapolis 500.
Morning rains, gusty winds and an unfavorable forecast led track and IndyCar series officials to call off the on-track activities shortly after noon. The track is closed today and Tuesday with practice scheduled for Wednesday.
Eleven cars are currently in the field for the May 25th race and the remaining 22 spots on the grid are scheduled to be filled on Saturday with "bump day" on Sunday.
