(COLUMBUS, OH) - Ray Olmedo’s pinch-hit RBI double in the bottom of the eighth put Columbus ahead as the Clippers beat the Indianapolis Indians 4-2.
Jemel Spearman had given Columbus a 2-0 lead in the second with a two-run single before Steve Pearce tied the game with a two-run homer in the fourth, his eighth of the season.
The Clippers got an insurance run in the eighth when Ed Rogers followed Olemedo's double with an RBI single.
The Clippers swept the brief two-game series in Columbus. The two teams head to Indianapolis to open a two-game series at Victory Field this evening.
