(FORT WORTH, TX) - Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon was the fastest in practice at the Texas Motor Speedway for Saturday’s Bombardier Learjet 550.
Dixon's target Chip Ganassi Racing machine turned a lap on the mile-and-a-half track at 213.8 miles-an-hour Thursday.
Marco Andretti was the only other driver to surpass 213 miles an hour, while John Andretti was third fastest at 212.9 miles -an-hour, just quicker than Dan Wheldon.
Texas native A.J. Foyt the fourth was fifth fastest during practice. Milwaukee winner Ryan Briscoe was seventh fastest and Danica Patrick finished the practice session eighth quickest on the charts.
The drivers will have another practice session this afternoon before qualifications tonight.
