(NEW YORK, NY) - Janel McCarville scored a career-high 31 points and Shameka Christon added 23 to lead the New York Liberty past the Indiana Fever 102-96 in triple overtime.
Essence Carson added 18 points as the Libs snapped a four-game losing streak against Indiana.
For the second-straight game, Fever center Ebony Hoffman set a career-high for scoring. Hoffman had 26 points when she fouled out midway through the second overtime. Tammy Sutton Brown finished with 23 points and 15 rebounds with Katie Douglas adding 18 points and Tamika Catchings scoring 15.
New York's Cathrine Kraayeveld forced the first overtime when she hit a three-pointer with six seconds left in regulation. McCarville forced a second overtime when she hit one of two free throws at the end of the first extra session. Sutton-brown tied the game at 92 with ten seconds left in the second overtime.
McCarville had a chance to win the game on the ensuing possession, but was stripped by Catchings who sent the ball out of bounds as the buzzer sounded.
Indiana had a 96-94 lead with 2:12 left in the third overtime, but New York ended the game on an 8-0 run to pull out the win.
The Fever fall to 7-and-7 as they face the Comets in Houston on Saturday night.
