(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Ebony Hoffman scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed a career-best 13 rebounds as the Indiana Fever came from behind to defeat the Sacramento Monarchs 78-73 at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Katie Douglas finished with 20 points as Indiana overcame an 18-point deficit early in the second quarter to halt their two-game skid.
Kara Lawson's three-pointer with 6:36 left in the first quarter gave Sacramento its first lead at 9-8. That basket was the start of a 25-8 run to finish the opening period as Sacramento built a 31-16 advantage at the end of one.
The Monarchs would score the first three points of the second quarter to take their largest lead of the game before Indiana made its comeback. An 11-1 run got the Fever within eight and Sacramento would hang on to a nine-point advantage at halftime.
The Fever continued cutting into the Sacramento lead, trailing by one at 58-57 at the start of the fourth quarter. Indiana finally took the lead for good with 7:22 left when Allison Feaster's three pointer put the Fever up 63-60.
Ticha Penicheiro led the Monarchs with 15 points.
The Fever move back over .500 at 7-and-6. They travel to New York to face the Liberty on Thursday night.
