(NEW YORK, NY) - The Indiana Pacers took Arizona guard Jerryd Bayless with the eleventh pick in last night’s NBA Draft, but Bayless’ tenure with the Pacers looks to be a brief one.
The Pacers and the Portland Trail Blazers are involved in a proposed trade that would send Bayless' draft rights and forward Ike Diogu to Portland for guard Jarrett Jack, former Carmel High School star Josh McRoberts and the draft rights to Kansas guard Brandon Rush.
The Toronto Raptors took Georgetown center Roy Hibbert with the 17th pick. That pick reportedly will go to the Pacers as part of the Jermaine O'Neal - TJ Ford deal which cannot be finalized before next week.
With the 41st pick, the Pacers took Australian big man Nathan Jawai. Jawai reportedly will be sent to Toronto as part of the Jermaine O'Neal deal.
