(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Fever suffered an embarrassing 81-77 loss to the expansion Atlanta Dream Wednesday afternoon and may have lost Olympian Tamika Catchings with another foot injury.
Atlanta, who began the season 0-and-17, led by two at halftime and by as many as 10 points in the third quarter en route to their third win in their last five games.
Indiana was led by Tamika Catchings' 18 points and 12 rebounds, but the star forward left the game with just under seven minutes to play. Catchings was kicked in the foot and may have suffered a strained achilles tendon.
Catchings suffered a torn achilles last season and missed the first eight games of this season rehabbing from the injury.
Katie Douglas and Ebony Hoffman scored 17 points apiece in the loss, which dropped Indiana to 10-and-10 this season.
The Fever host the Seattle Storm Friday night at Conseco Fieldhouse.
