(UNDATED) - A press conference is expected today to announce that Paul Tracy will drive in the IndyCar Series next weekend in Edmonton, Canada.
The one-race deal is expected to involve Walker Racing in association with Vision Racing.
Tracy, a Canadian native, is the winningest active driver with 31 Champ Car victories but has been out of a regular ride since the off-season merger of Champ Car and the Indy Racing League.
Tracy drove for Forsythe Racing, but lost his ride when the team decided not to continue in the IndyCar Series. He did drive in the final Champ Car event - the April running of the Grand Prix of Long Beach, where he finished 11th.
