(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will report for training camp in Terre haute Thursday with or without their rookie class. So far, none of the Colts’ nine draft picks have come to terms with the team.
While the Colts are usually one of the last teams in the NFL to get their draft picks under contract, they have not had a significant holdout since 2004 when safety Bob Sanders missed all of training camp. Sanders was taken by the Colts in the second round that year but was the last of the league's 255 draftees to sign a rookie contract.
The Colts are already expected to arrive at Rose-Hulman Institute shorthanded. Quarterback Peyton Manning is expected to miss all of the Terre Haute portion of camp after undergoing knee surgery last week.
Sanders, wide receiver Marvin Harrison and defensive end Dwight Freeney are coming off surgeries during the offseason and could miss significant time during camp.
