(TERRE HAUTE, IN) - After taking Sunday off, the Indianapolis Colts will hold two full-squad practices today as training camp continues in Terre Haute.
The Colts practiced in pads for the first time on Saturday afternoon as they prepare for their preseason opener against the Washington Redskins at Sunday night's hall-of-fame game in Canton, Ohio.
There were a pair of players injured during Saturday morning's practice. Veteran safety Melvin Bullitt sprained his right thumb and is expected to miss a week. Rookie linebacker Phillip Wheeler has a knee problem and it is not known how long he will be out.
There will be two practices a day Monday through Friday, although the second practices on Tuesday and Thursday will be special teams only. There will also be a practice on Saturday morning before the team heads east to Canton.
Playing in the hall-of-fame game means that the Colts will have five preseason games instead of the usual four.
