(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - New Indiana University basketball coach Tom Crean has agreed to a ten-year contract with the Hoosiers, according to a published report.
The Indianapolis Star reported on its website Monday afternoon that the deal has not been finalized, but the deal will keep Crean under contract at IU through the 2017-2018 season.
Crean initially agreed to an eight-year deal worth in excess of $18-million dollars in April, signing a memorandum of understanding that outlined those terms.
Crean has not signed a formal contract, but tells the Star that he is comfortable with the progress made in getting a finalized contract done.
