(PHOENIX, AZ) - The Indiana Fever snapped a three-game losing streak with an 88-84 win over the Phoenix Mercury.
Tamika Catchings scored a season-high 25 points for Indiana with Tammy Sutton-Brown and Tan White adding 17 points apiece. White gave the Fever the lead for good when she hit a three-pointer with 1:02 remaining to give Indiana an 84-82 advantage. Sutton-brown and Catchings went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the final minute to clinch the win.
All five Indiana starters reached double figures as the Fever won for just the third time on the road this year.
Diana Taurasi also had 25 for the Mercury with Cappie Pondexter finishing with 21. They were the only Phoenix players to reach double-digits as the defending WNBA champions drop to 12-and-15.
The Fever improve to 12-and-14 as the WNBA heads to a month-long break for the Olympic games in Beijing. The Fever are off until August 28th when they host the Connecticut Sun.
