(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame has signed men’s basketball coach Mike Brey to a two-year contract extension.
The 49-year-old Brey is now under contract through the 2014-2015 season.
Brey is entering his ninth season with the Fighting Irish. He has led Notre Dame to five 20-win seasons and has been the Big East's coach of the year the past two seasons.
The Irish are coming off a 25-and-8 record last season.
Brey is 266-and-138 in 13 seasons overall, 167-and-86 at Notre Dame.
