(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Cole Armstrong hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the tenth as the Charlotte Knights defeated the Indianapolis Indians 6-3 in extra innings.
Charlotte scored one run in the first inning and twice in the second before the Tribe got on the board in the fourth on a two-run double from Adam Boeve. Neil walker tied the game with an RBI single in the fifth.
The game remained scoreless until Armstrong lifted his game-winner over the fence in right centerfield off the Indians Matt Miller.
Game two of the four-game series is tonight at Victory Field.
