(TOLEDO, OH) - Luis Cruz drove home the winning run with a seventh-inning single as the Indianapolis Indians edged the Toledo Mud Hens 2-1 to halt a four-game losing streak.
Josh Wilson put Indianapolis on the board with his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot in the fifth off Toledo starter Yorman Bazardo. The Mud Hens tied the game in the sixth, setting up Cruz' game-winner the next inning.
Indianapolis starter Tom Gorzelanny allowed a run over five and-a-third innings, but did not figure in the decision.
The three-game series in Toledo concludes tonight with the Tribe and the Mud Hens heading to Indianapolis to open a three-game series at Victory Field on Friday.
