(INDIANAPOLIS) - Shawne Williams says he is hopeful that the thin ice he is on doesn’t break as the Indiana Pacers opened a three-day camp for rookies, free agents and, in Williams’ case, selected veterans.
Williams was singled out by team President Larry Bird as being expendable following a pair of off-court incidents that cost Williams six games last season due to suspensions.
Williams is entering his third season and agrees with bird that it is time to live up to his potential.
The University of Memphis product will participate in this week's camp and will play for the Pacers' Summer Pro League team next week in Orlando.
