Colts Back On Practice Field Following Preseason Loss

Last updated on Monday, August 11, 2008

(TERRE HAUTE, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to the practice field late this morning as they begin the final week of training camp in Terre Haute.

The Colts took Sunday off following Saturday night's 23-20 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers in game two of the preseason.

The horseshoes are 0-and-2 in the preseason, but they have not been a strong preseason team in recent years. Saturday night's loss dropped the colts to 2-and-13 in the preseason since 2005. They face the Atlanta Falcons this Saturday night at the Georgia Dome.

One of the positives coming from Saturday's loss at Carolina was the return of Marvin Harrison to the starting lineup. Harrison is entering his 13th NFL season and is coming off his most disappointing year in the league in 2007.

A knee injury forced Harrison to miss eleven games during the regular season last year before making an unimpressive appearance in the Colts' playoff loss to San Diego.

The franchise's all-time receiving leader was in for 15 plays against the Panthers, catching three passes for 22 yards.
