(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Tuesday was the first cutdown day in the NFL as the Colts trimmed five players off the roster to get down to the mandatory 75-player limit.
The most notable move was placing defensive back - kick returner TJ Rushing on injured reserve. Rushing suffered a knee injury in last Sunday's game with Buffalo.
Rookie tight end Zac Herold was also placed on IR with an injured knee.
Running back Clifton Dawson, linebacker Marcus Richardson and kicker Adam Crossett were waived.
The Colts will further trim the roster to 53 sometime after Thursday's final preseason game.
