(INDIANAPOLIS) - The NCAA has named Indianapolis and seven other cities as finalists for hosting the Women’s Final Four.
Five will be chosen for the five years starting with 2012. Those sites will be announced in November after each finalist gets a visit from the Division I women's basketball committee in September or October.
The others on the list are Dallas, Denver, Nashville, New Orleans, San Antonio, Tampa and Columbus, Ohio.
If Indianapolis makes the final cut, the tournament would be hosted by Butler University and the Horizon League.
