(FORT MILL, SC) - The Indianapolis Indians had their three-game winning streak snapped as they fell to the Charlotte Knights 4-3.
The tribe took a 1-0 lead in the third but charlotte responded by scoring twice to take a 2-1 lead.
Indianapolis tied the game on Carlos Maldonado's solo home run in the fifth, but Charlotte took the lead for good in the sixth when Brad Eldred hammered a Ross Ohlendorg pitch over the left field wall.
Ohlendorf took the loss to fall to 3-and-4 as the Knights snapped a six-game losing streak.
Game two of the four game series is tonight at Knights Stadium.
