(FORT MILL, SC) - Tomo Ohka threw six strong innings and Josh Fields provided the offense as the Charlotte Knights defeated the Indianapolis Indians 2-1.
Fields gave Charlotte a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the third before Brian Bixler tied the game for the Tribe with a run-scoring single in the fifth. Fields drove home the game-winner with his tenth home run of the season off Indianapolis reliever John Van Benschoten as the Knights won the final three games of the series.
Ohka allowed a run on five hits and struck out eight to improve to 5-and-11 while Van Benschoten took the loss to fall to 7-and-4.
Charlotte goes for a four-game sweep tonight as the series wraps up at Knights Stadium.
