(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - When Indiana opens its football season against Western Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, Kellen Lewis will be the starting quarterback.
Lewis was suspended this spring and was competing with Ben Chappell for the starting quarterback job. The junior from Jacksonville, Florida led the Hoosiers to a bowl berth last season.
The Hoosiers will be without defensive end Greg Middleton versus the Hilltoppers. Middleton and three reserves were suspended for one game by Head Coach Bill Lynch for violating team rules. Middleton led the nation in quarterback sacks with 16 last season.
