(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers unveiled their preseason schedule for the upcoming 2008-2009 NBA season on Wednesday.
The Pacers open the exhibition schedule on October 8th when they face the New Orleans Hornets at the Pepsi Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The coliseum was the Pacers' home from their inception in 1967 until they moved to Market Square Arena at the start of the 1974-1975 American Basketball Association season.
They will face the Chicago Bulls on October 10th at a location to be announced sometime today. The Indianapolis Star reports that location will be the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
Two other games will be played at Conseco Fieldhouse as the Pacers host Dallas on October 15th and Memphis on October 17th.
The four road games on the preseason schedule are at Memphis on October 13th, at San Antonio on October 18th, at New Orleans on October 21st and at Dallas on October 23rd.
The Pacers open the regular season on October 29th at Detroit. The home-opener is against the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics on November 1st at the Fieldhouse.
