(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will hold one more full practice today as they get ready for Sunday night’s preseason game with the Buffalo Bills.
Aside from the much-anticipated debut of Lucas Oil Stadium, Sunday's game will be the final showcase for the Colts' starters as Head Coach Tony Dungy plans to have the first units play midway into the third quarter.
The starters probably won't see the field much in the preseason finale on Thursday against Cincinnati as the Colts will have a short week to prepare for the Bengals.
The Colts are close to getting another one of their injured players off the physically unable to perform list as rookie tight end Tom Santi has started working out. Santi had a bursa sac removed from his knee before training camp. The surgery was the same as that performed on all-pro quarterback Peyton Manning and the Colts have been using Santi's progress as a gauge for Manning.
Manning has started 160-consecutive regular season games for the Colts and there is a possibility that the streak could end on September 7th when they face the Chicago Bears in the opener.
