(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue running back Jaycen Taylor is out for the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in practice on Sunday.
The senior underwent an M-R-I examination of the knee on Tuesday and will undergo surgery as soon as the swelling in the knee goes down.
Taylor will redshirt this season and have one year of eligibility remaining.
With Taylor out, Kory Sheets will become the Boilermakers' primary running back.
Head coach Joe Tiller announced Monday that redshirt freshman Justin Siller has been moved from quarterback to running back in the wake of Taylor's injury
