(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) The Olympic break is over but the Indiana Fever didn’t show up as they were blown out by the Connecticut Sun 84-58 at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Former Fever Forward Tamika Whitmore led the sun with 15 points with Asjha Jones adding 14.
Tammy Sutton-Brown and Tully Bevilaqua led Indiana with nine points each as the Fever hit just 34-percent from the field.
Connecticut jumped on Indiana early, outshooting the Fever 66-percent to 30-percent from the field as the Sun built a 54-25 lead at halftime.
The 26-point margin of victory was the largest for the Sun over the Fever.
The Sun have won four in a row while the Fever have lost four of their last five.
Indiana falls to 12-and-15 as their lead over fifth-place Washington drops to a game and-a-half.
The fever host the Atlanta Dream on Saturday Night.
