(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to practice today as they begin installing the game plan for Sunday nights’ season opener with the Chicago Bears.
The focus this week in practice will be on quarterback Peyton Manning. Manning enters his eleventh season with the Colts having missed all of training camp and the preseason following surgery to remove an infected bursa sac from his left knee in mid-July. He worked out before the Colts' preseason finale with Cincinnati last Thursday night and appeared to be healthy.
Manning has never missed a regular season game in ten seasons. His streak of 160-consecutive starts is second only to Brett Favre among NFL quarterbacks.
