(HOUSTON, TX) - The Houston Texans are looking at possible alternate locations for their October 5th game with the Colts.
Hurricane Ike caused damage to the retractable roof at Reliant Stadium, knocking out five pieces of the roof with large pieces of debris falling inside the stadium.
The Houston Chronicle reported on its website Tuesday that Texans Owner Robert McNair is hopeful that the game will take place at Reliant but that team officials have discussed playing the game at Rice Stadium.
Rice stadium, which hosted Super Bowl VIII, recently underwent a renovation that reduced the seating capacity to 47,000. University officials say the stadium can be expanded to its former 70,000-seat capacity.
