(MUNCIE, IN) - Ball State senior wide receiver Dante Love is the Mid-American Conference West Division offensive player of the week.
Love caught nine passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns and rushed six times for 37 yards and another score in the Cardinals' 35-23 win over Navy last Friday night. Love accounted for 336 all-purpose yards, the eleventh-best single-game total in MAC history.
This is the first time that Love has received player of the week honors. It marks the second-straight week that a Ball State player has been named player of the week. BJ Hill was special teams player of the week last week in the wake of the Cardinals' 48-14 victory over Northeastern in the season opener.
Ball State is 2-and-0 heading into Saturday's conference opener with Akron at the Rubber Bowl.
