(BLOOMINGTON) - The Ball State Cardinals shocked the Indiana Hoosiers with a 42-20 victory in Bloomington.
The Cardinals' explosive offense did not miss a beat early as they led 14-6 at the end of the first quarter and 28-20 at the half.
In the second half of play it was the Cardinal defense that stepped up and kept the Hoosiers scoreless the final 30 minutes of the game.
Ball State was led by MiQuale Lewis who rushed 29 times for 164 yards and four touchdowns.
Quarterback Nate Davis also had a strong night, completing 16 of his 25 pass attempts for 240 yards and a touchdown.
Kellen Lewis passed for 168 yards and had two interceptions, and also had 149 yards on the ground and a touchdown in a losing effort.
