(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will practice today and head to Minneapolis tomorrow as they prepare for Sunday afternoon’s game with the Minnesota Vikings.
Both teams are 0-and-1 as the Colts lost to the Chicago Bears on Sunday night and the Vikings lost to the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
The Colts allowed 183 yards rushing to the bears and expect the Vikings to try to exploit their run defense with Adrian Peterson. Peterson was the NFL's offensive rookie of the year last season and ran for a league-record 296 yards against San Diego in a game last November.
Colts Roster Moves
The Colts made some roster moves on Thursday including waiving starting defensive tackle Ed Johnson. Johnson was released after marijuana was found in his car during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.
Head Coach Tony Dungy says undrafted rookie Eric Foster will take Johnson's spot in the starting lineup alongside Keyunta Dawson at defensive tackle at Minnesota.
The Colts also waived Indianapolis native Courtney Roby. The former receiver from Indiana University was used as a kick returner in last Sunday's opener with the Bears, averaging just over 20 yards per return.
The Colts signed former USC defensive lineman Lajuan Ramsey and claimed running back Justin Forsett off waivers from Seattle. The team also added tight end Isaac Smolko to the practice squad and waived guard Tala Esera to make room for Smolko.
