(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will practice today as they wind up the week of preparation for Sunday night’s regular season opener with the Chicago Bears at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts are looking for their fourth-straight opening day win. They have not lost an opener since they fell to the defending champion New England Patriots at Foxboro in 2004.
The Bears hold the NFL record with 49 wins on opening day, but have lost four of their last five regular season debuts.
Colts Injury Report
Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday and rookie offensive lineman Mike Pollak missed Thursday's practice and are expected to miss Sunday's game with the Bears.
With veteran offensive lineman Ryan Lilja opening the season on the physically unable to perform list, the Colts will start three backups in the middle of the offensive line.
Head Coach Tony Dungy anticipates starting Jamey Richard at center with Charlie Johnson at left guard and Dan Federkile at right guard.
Rookie wide receiver Pierre Garcon has been limited in practice this week with a shoulder injury.
