(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Sunday’s Colts - Bears game is a rematch of Super Bowl XLI, won by the Colts 29-17 in Miami two seasons ago.
Bears returner Devin Hester made history in that Super Bowl by returning the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown. The Bears are experimenting with Hester at wide receiver this season in an attempt to get him the ball more often.
Head Coach Tony Dungy is aware of the danger Hester presents and that the Bears will try to get the ball into Hester's hands as much as possible.
Colts-Bears Injury Report
Offensive linemen Jeff Saturday and Mike Pollak headline Wednesday's injury report for the Colts. Both did not participate in practice Wednesday and are expected to miss Sunday's game with Chicago.
Rookie wide receiver Pierre Garcon is listed as practicing on a limited basis while quarterback Peyton Manning is listed as participating fully.
The Bears list tackle Chris Williams as out with a back injury with defensive linemen Mark Anderson and Tommie Harris practicing on a limited basis.
Manning Ready To Lead This Sunday
The Indianapolis Colts returned to practice Wednesday as they began preparing specifically for Sunday night's regular season opener with the Chicago Bears.
Quarterback Peyton Manning says he is ready to go as he will see his first game action since last February's Pro Bowl.
Manning missed all of training camp and the preseason after undergoing knee surgery on July 14th. He has never missed a start in a ten-year NFL career as he prepares to make his 161st in a row on Sunday.
