(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Bluejackets celebrated Homecoming and the 1983 Sectional Championship team Friday Night at Terry Cole Field, but that’s all of the celebrating there would be.
Crawford County dominated the Jackets on both sides of the ball in route to a 34-0 victory.
The Wolfpack ran the ball from the onset with no problem, and used a healthy dose of play action passes to keep the Jackets defense off balance.
Crawford County got on the scoreboard first as Senior Quarterback Daniel Allen found, Junior Tight End Jonathan Bowles in end zone from 11 yards out with 2:56 left in the first quarter.
With the Jacket offense struggling mightily to move the ball downfield the Wolfpack had great field position all night long and capitalized on it with 3:43 left in the first half as senior tailback Jessie Allen scored from 14 yards, with the extra point the score was 14-0 and it stayed that way into halftime.
The Wolfpack scored twice in the third quarter as Jessie Allen found pay dirt from 44 yards out and Daniel Allen scored on a one yard quarterback sneak.
The Wolfpack rounded out the scoring with an Evan Crecelius 60 yard touchdown run.
Crawford County finished with 440 yards of total offense, while the Jackets managed just 102. The Jackets (1-4) travel to 1A 8th ranked Tecumseh (4-0), the Wolfpack (3-2) travel to Paoli (5-0).
