(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts were back at practice on Monday as they prepare for Sunday night’s regular season opener with the Chicago Bears.
The Colts held a brief workout and did not focus on the Bears. They will take today off and begin preparing for the Bears in earnest on Wednesday.
Dungy addressed last Saturday's cutdown from 75 players to 53, saying special teams play led the Colts to keep receivers Courtney Roby and Roy Hall and that they decided to keep four tight ends at the expense of one of the running back positions.
Dungy also said that the good health of quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Jim Sorgi allowed them to waive Quinn Gray and Jared Lorenzen, leaving the Colts with just two quarterbacks on the roster.
