(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy says Sunday’s loss to the Chicago Bears looked just as bad the second time around on tape as it did live on the sidelines.
The Colts fell to the Bears 29-13 in the regular season opener as they lost in the month of September for the first time since 2004.
The defense allowed 183 yards rushing to the Bears, including a 50-yard touchdown run by Bears rookie Matt Forte.
Peyton Manning threw for 257 yards and a touchdown, but appeared out of sync at times. Manning did not get much help from the Colts' running attack as the horseshoes rushed for just 53 yards.
Colts Injury Report
The Colts are awaiting the results of an MRI taken on Dallas Clark's injured knee. Clark hurt the knee in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Bears and spent the second half on the sideline in street clothes.
Dungy says he hopes Clark is okay and that he ran on the sidelines following the injury trying to get back into the game.
Dungy says that running back Joseph Addai could have returned to Sunday's game after leaving with a head injury and that he believes Pro-Bowl center Jeff Saturday could return to practice this week although he probably won't play Sunday at Minnesota. Saturday tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee against Buffalo in the preseason.
