(LOUISVILLE, KY) - The Indianapolis Indians closed out the 2008 season with a win as they beat the Louisville Bats 5-2.
Daniel McCutchen threw seven innings of shutout ball, allowing five hits while striking out nine to improve to 7-and-9. Chris Duffy put the Tribe on the board with a solo home run leading off the top of the fourth. They added another run in the sixth before scoring three times in the eighth as Robinzon Diaz capped the inning with a two-run triple.
The Bats scored their two runs in the bottom of the eighth on RBI singles from Paul Janish and Drew Stubbs.
The Indians close out the season with a 68-and-76 record.
