(SOUTH BEND) - Armando Allen Jr. rushed for a career-high 134 yards and a touchdown as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish topped the Purdue Boilermakers 38-21.
With the game tied at 14 heading into the half, the Irish opened it up in the third-quarter scoring 21 points.
Irish quarerback Jimmy Clausen completed 20 of his 35 pass attempts for 275 yards and three touchdowns.
Curtis Painter threw the ball 55 times, completing 29 of those attempts for 359 yards, two touchdowns, with one interception.
Desmond Tardy caught 10 of those passes for 175 yards and a score in a losing effort.
The Irish improve to 3-1 with the victory, while the Boilers fall to 2-2.
